CxORE Provides Infrastructure for Collective Impact Collaborative

CxORE is pleased to have been selected to provide the infrastructure to support a CARES funded collaborative to supply much needed COVID-19 relief to small businesses in Sacramento. CxORE's services included infrastructure design, development, deployment and management of, an interactive website with Spanish translation, social media sites, partner landing pages, scheduling system, webinar management, data base management, data capture, reporting, partner support and intake coordination. The CxORE team had twenty-four days to go from design to operations and successfully met the October 1, 2020 program start date.

15 Organizations Join Together to Support City of Sacramento’s minority small businesses using $3.7 Million CARES Act grant

(Sacramento, Calif., September 29, 2020) – The Sacramento Inclusive Economic Development Collaborative (Sac IEDC), a program under the leadership of the Sacramento Asian Chamber of Commerce, announced today, in conjunction with the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce and Hacker Lab, the receipt of a $3.7 million grant from the City of Sacramento from its federal $89.6 million Corona Aid Recovery and Economic Stability (CARES) Act allocation to support small business during the pandemic. Sac IEDC’s “Triage, Recovery, and Resiliency Program” will focus on three key areas to provide technical assistance and 1:1 consulting to small business owners to assist them with the impacts that COVID-19 has had on their operations. All services are free of charge to the business and will be paid for through the City’s of Sacramento grant award.

Small business assistance includes:

· Webinars based on essential business recovery needs such as COVID-19 workplace safety recommendations and best practices, access to capital, and how to create a stronger digital presence for your business to name a few. There will be 20 different topics offered in webinar format and they will be produced live and then recorded to give business owners easier access to the information.

· 1:1 consulting to small business owners to assist them with a multitude of immediate needs. Program includes meeting with an expert the following areas – how to work with your landlord on renegotiating your lease; how to create a website for your business; how to understand what financial documents you need to get a loan; marketing your business in a post COVID-19 world. Business owners will be able to select with many subject matter experts to assist them with their needs.

· A Spanish language specific portfolio of services, presented by the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, that is tailored to meet the needs of the City’s Latinx small business owners.

· Geographical support for the businesses located in one of the nine (9) property and business improvement districts (PBIDS) who are members of the Sac IEDC. Those PBIDS include Del Paso Boulevard Partnership, Florin Road Partnership, Franklin Boulevard Business District, Greater Broadway Partnership, Mack Road Partnership, Oak Park Business District, Power Inn Alliance, The River District, and the Stockton Boulevard Partnership.
